CADEkids’ Prevention Specialists provide evidence-based life skills instruction and guidance to children in Philadelphia. Our classroom-based specialists help children build and maintain skills for problem-solving, decision-making, communication, refusing substance misuse, risk assessment, and resolving conflict without violence.
During each school year, each CADEkids’ Specialist delivers programs in four to five Philadelphia Schools. They maintain a consistent schedule for these schools all school year. Lessons are conducted in whole classrooms with the teacher present to help make them stick throughout the week. In the best situations, CADEkids Prevention Specialists become a trusted part of the school’s climate and culture team.
